- November 19, 1958 – The Fairfax County Water Authority announces it has been awarded the franchise to supply water to the new airport in Chantilly.
- November 19, 1969 – Citing the low pay of the office, Chairman of the Fairfax County Board of Supervisors Frederick A. Babson, Jr. announces his resignation.
- November 19, 1979 – Superintendent of Orange County, Florida, Schools L. Linton Deck, Jr. is named as the new superintendent of the Fairfax County Public Schools system.
- November 19, 1984 – Helene M. Cassell becomes the first woman promoted to the rank of Captain in the Fairfax County Police Department. Cassell, a 38-year-old with 12 years in service to the department, is promoted in anticipation of becoming the commander of the Fair Oaks substation.
- November 19, 1984 – The Fairfax County Board of Supervisors votes 7-1 to allow the Fairfax Hospital Corporation to move forward with its plans to construct a hospital in the Fair Oaks region of the county.
- November 19, 2008 – Brothers Terence and Ryan Strope and their friend, Andres Yelicie, are stabbed and mortally wounded during a home invasion robbery at their Springfield home by Jelani Slay and Delante T. Cook, who masquerade as police officers to attempt to force compliance from their victims. The three men are taken to Inova Fairfax Hospital, where they die shortly thereafter.
- November 19, 2010 – Ronald Robertson is found guilty of involuntary manslaughter in the October, 2009 shooting of Karen S. Deck at his Reston apartment.
- November 19, 2013 – Kirk W. Kincannon is appointed as Director of the Fairfax County Park Authority by the Fairfax County Board of Supervisors.
